Ocean Adventure! prides itself on being flexible and able to adapt to any situation and schedule presented. However, to be sure you get the biggest bang for your programming buck, the following suggestions for scheduling are offered:
The usual in-school scenario is five 1-hour programs per day.
Class size should be under 30 due to the hands-on nature of the programs, however larger groups can be accommodated if necessary.
If given a choice between more programs under 1 hour with fewer students or fewer programs at 1 hour with more students, we choose the latter.
We should be in one room with classes coming to us at the appointed time.
Teachers are expected to attend the programs and be responsible for discipline.
In many cases, we need only 2-5 minutes between programs and only 20-30 minutes for lunch.
If given a choice between one program topic on day 1 and another on day 2 or a mixture on both days, we strongly prefer the latter.
Volume discount bookings need not be on consecutive days or in the same school. Two days in the fall and two days in the spring would qualify for the four-day discount. Please schedule us when teachers want us and we fit into their curriculum.
